In SONT’s exhibition hall, Du Guangyun reported on the company’s development progress to Vice Governor Xia Wenyong. He emphasized that since its founding, SONT has prioritized technological innovation as its core driver: it has built a high-caliber R&D team, sustained increased investment in research, and successfully developed and manufactured a full range of independently produced optical module products with data rates ranging from 1Gbps to 1.6Tbps. These products are widely deployed in cutting-edge optical interconnection scenarios, including AI computing centers, cloud data centers, and 5G networks, serving a global client base that includes AI large-model providers, internet enterprises, and telecommunications operators.
Subsequently, Vice Governor Xia Wenyong and his entourage toured the entire production process of optical module products via the dedicated visitor corridor in the workshop. During the tour, Vice Governor Xia frequently paused to inquire about key details, seeking in-depth insights into SONT’s current production and operation status, as well as the broader trends in the optoelectronic information industry, directions for technological innovation, and challenges confronting the sector. Du Guangyun responded meticulously to each question, providing the research team with detailed and accurate information to support their understanding of the industry’s actual landscape. He noted that leveraging its core technological advantages and targeted market positioning, SONT has achieved a robust 70% year-on-year revenue growth in 2024. With seamless collaboration across production, R&D, and sales, the company is experiencing high-quality development across all business dimensions. Looking ahead to the opportunities presented by the booming AI industry, SONT will continue to focus on R&D in cutting-edge optoelectronic information technologies, further strengthen its core competitiveness, and strive to become a world-leading provider of optical interconnection solutions at an early date—thereby injecting greater vitality into the industry’s growth. 
This research mission enabled the Jiangxi Provincial Government to gain a comprehensive understanding of SONT’s development status, technological capabilities, and practical needs, while also clarifying the direction and key priorities for advancing the clustered development of Jiangxi’s optoelectronic information industry. In response, SONT stated that it will take this visit as a catalyst to implement the guidance and requirements put forward by Vice Governor Xia Wenyong. The company plans to increase R&D investment, deepen its expertise in the specialized field of optical communications, accelerate technological and product upgrades, and support Jiangxi in seizing opportunities in the optoelectronic information industry—ultimately driving the leapfrog development of related sectors and positioning them at the forefront of China’s industrial landscape.
